Linda Gentile
Linda Gentile won her first writing contest at the age of six and hasn't stopped writing since. Her first published article, in the British role-playing games magazine Imagine, was at the age of 15.

Linda Gentile is a freelance commercial writer with a particular interest in the heritage and travel sectors. She is the author of the motorcycle travel essay, A Little Twist of Texas.
Linda's feature articles credits include Friction Zone and Nevada Magazine. Her articles for Suite 101 reflect her interests in motorcycles, travel, food and history.
Motorcycles
An avid motorcyclist since 1996, Linda Gentile now rides a 1996 Suzuki Intruder 1400. Her adventures have included riding solo to Texas and back, exploring Nevada in summer, and dismantling a Virago engine to get to the broken gears. She is now a full-time RVer. All of these have yielded rich veins of writing material.
Linda was an active member of Women on Wheels®, for several years, editing a chapter newsletter and website. In 1996, she started writing about motorcycles on her first website; today, she blogs about motorcycles, travel and RVing at Raven's Roads.
History and Historical Markers
As a child, Linda Gentile's love of history was consolidated while crawling around, utterly fascinated, inside an ancient Scottish burial mound.
She became interested in historical markers while taking part in a 2003 motorcycle scavenger hunt. She founded Markeroni.com, the first online community focused on historical markers and historic sites, in 2003.
